GPS Tracker is a first in Australia

Innotek Australia has announced the availability of the GPS20, the first tracking system which can operate in both GPS and standard radio tracking modes.
The GPS20 claims to detect a collar from 20 km in Radio Tracking mode and 7 km in GPS mode. We have tried it in Australia and have achieved a strong GPS signal from over 9 km so the claimed range should easily be achieved. What is more, the receiver will pick up signals from other collar brands that operate on the same frequency, so owners that have invested in older systems can continue to use the collars.
"I was as keen as any kid at Christmas when I picked up the new GPS capable tracking gear...."
GPS Tracking
The GPS-20 System
This GPS-20 tracking system can work in radio tracking as well as GPS modes to pinpoint your dog's direction as well as distance. This tracking system is able to work in both radio tracking and GPS modes. Thus it can pinpoint your dog's direction and distance and will even track other manufactures' collars in radio tracking mode. The GPS mode gives the direction and distance of the GPS Hond collar and radio tracking mode enables much longer distance searches to be made without depending on external factors no matter there is GPS coverage or not.
Both handheld receiver and the collar transmitter have built in GPS antennas giving their exact positions. When the collar sends a signal to the receiver, it transmits it's position and status and the receiver displays this information using an electronic compass.
Because it is more complex to transmit a GPS location than a simple 'beep', the radio tracking always has 3-4 times more range than the GPS. This is why you will find the dog first with radio tracking mode and then in the last kilometres will you have the exact position with GPS. |

How the TinyLoc R2 GPS dog tracking system works:
Once the TinyLoc GPS receiver detects the collar, the collar will send the location information to the receiver. With a built-in electronic compass, the LCD screen on the receiver is able to show the direction and exact distance of the collar. The R2 GPS dog tracking system communicates via radio signal and not through GPS satellites. As it is much more difficult to transfer the GPS signal than a simple beep (radio mode), the radio tracking always has 4 â 5 times more range than the GPS. So it is much easier to track your dog first in radio tracking mode and track for the exact location within last few kilometers.

Adding collars to the R2 GPS tracker
1.Adding your own TinyLoc Hond GPS collar
to your tracker
Turn on both of the TinyLoc R2 GPS receiver and Hond collar, the LCD screen will ask you to place the Hond GPS collar on the R2 GPS receiver. Press OK and the system will be synchronized automatically. Enter the name of the collar that you want to pair your tracker with and your system is ready to go!
2.Adding another TinyLoc Hond GPS collar
to your tracker
You can pair or synchronize another collar via the TIN code features by TinyLoc R2 GPS receiver without both the collar and receiver being in same place. The TIN code contains all the information the R2 GPS receiver needs to search for a Hond GPS collar. So you can search a dog of your friends who is not with you. (TIN code of a collar can be found by going to MENU > Collars> Configuration collar> Info)
3.Adding other brands radio tracking collar
to your tracker
Just simply entering the frequency of your old radio tracking collar and give it a name. This process can take longer than a minute. The R2 GPS will calibrate the exact frequency of the collar. Follow the instructions on the screen by placing the turned on collar on top of the R2 Gps.
