How do Innotek's No Bark collars work?

A built-in vibration sensor picks up the vocal chords of the dog barking. The probe picks up the vibration of the dog barking and delivers a slight static pulse to get your dog's attention. The short pulses are designed to provide no residual discomfort. The negative response is timed perfectly to correct the dog at the time of his nuisance barking.

Why do you have 7 levels of stimulus?

Every dog displays an individual temperament. There are 7 varying levels from barely noticeable (low =1) to more noticeable (7= high) with a 3 second delay between corrections. No other noise will activate the collar, only the dog's vocal chords.

When the dog first barks, he receives a Level 1 stimulation, followed by a time-out. This gives the dog a chance to associate the bark with the stimulation. If the dog barks again, the stimulation automatically moves to the next level, followed by another time-out. After a 5 minute bark free time-out, the Auto-set design automatically decreases back down the scale.

Why do Innotek's No bark collars offer a 98% success rate?

What does the stimulus feel like on Innotek's collars?

The correction the dog feels is similar to the sensation you feel when you shuffle across the carpet or touch a car door handle on a dry day. This sensation is to get your dog's attention, create a negative response to his undesirable behaviour. The dog quickly learns that he can control the undesirable behaviour for example, cease nuisance barking. Remember, that the static pulse is only traveling across 1" of skin, from probe to probe, tensing the neck muscles much like a choker chain used for training purposes.
